Clark is a non-playable character that appears in The Operative: No One Lives Forever and later in No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way.

In No One Lives Forever[]
Clark in Morocco
Archer first encounters Clark and his wife Martha in the Grand Caravan Hotel, Marrakesh, Morocco where they are spending their second honeymoon and can be briefly interacted with. While Clark states that "this vacation is exactly what I needed", Martha complains that "I wanted to go to France but Clark insisted on coming to Morocco". When Volkov's men attempt to kill everyone in the hotel, they can be found again in the same location and must be protected from the assailants.
Based on the letters found in their hotel room, Clark discloses to Martha that he is in fact a Russian spy and is leaving her to go back to his first wife. But probably due to Archer picking the letter, Martha doesn't learn that and stays with him.
In GOTY edition he and Martha reappear in bonus level Rest and Relaxation. Martha asked Clark "Does this dress make me look fat?". Clark told her "Well, you don't look fat from where I'm standing" and she suspected him in thinking that she looked fat from behind.
In No One Lives Forever 2[]
A few months later he defected from the Soviet Union and joined the terrorist organization known as H.A.R.M. Clark was stationed in H.A.R.M.'s Secret Underwater Base in the Aegean Sea, where the Super Soldiers were being trained.
Death[]
During her infiltration of the underwater base in order to rescue Magnus Armstrong, Archer encounters Clark at the base's submarine bay. As seeing Archer will render him instantly hostile, the player has no option but to kill him (alternatively, he can be tranquilized although it is presumed that he will die anyway when the base implodes). After killing him, a letter addressed to Martha can be found on his body in which he informs her of his defection from the Soviet Union, recruitment to an "independent firm with better benefits" (i.e. H.A.R.M.) and begs her to take him back. (A letter found later on in the mission reveals that Martha ultimately rejected him). However, in escape pod there were several H.A.R.M. henchmen, including Terrence Sloggins, and they have been "saved" by Cate Archer and Magnus Armstrong, so he could be alive.
Trivia[]
- It's unknown why Martha and Clark are met again in Rest and Relaxation, while in sequel it's said that she was wandering in Sahara. They could revisit Morocco after resting on island paradise.
- Martha's best friend's name is Abigail. Not only Martha is mentioned and Clark is present in No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way, there's mentioned Abigail Anders. She is a daughter of Joseph Anders, who confuses Cate with her. Abigail Anders could be the friend of her.
