Cuba, officially the Republic of Cuba (Spanish: República de Cuba) is an island country in the Caribbean just south of the USA state of Florida. Since it was a communist country, it allied with the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
In 1962 the United States set up a blockade around Cuba when the Soviet Union attempted to set up missile bases on the island country. It almost led to the two superpowers going to war. This incident was referred as the Cuban Missile Crisis. General Morgan Hawkins referenced this incident when talking about a possible Soviet invasion of Khios "We should have fed those commies a nuclear sandwich back in 62".
One of the famous exports known to come out of Cuba is the Cuban cigars. These exotic items were enjoyed by members of Club Metropole before it's destruction in 1967.
