Marvin was a gangster and a member of the Louie Franco syndicate. He and his partner had captured John who they had tied up to a chair in an flat above the Drunken Scotsman. After a short telephone call from Louie Franco, telling him that his going to "retire early" at the hands of his two thugs, the game starts.
When John frees him self from his restrains, he kills Marvin's partner and it's up to a player to decide Marvin's fate.
